Ptolemy's Gate (The Bartimaeus Trilogy, Book 3) Jonathan Stroud

I first heard of this trilogy, by Jonathan Stroud, last year when the third book (Ptolemy's Gate) won the Cybil for Science Fiction/Fantasy. The specific model followed by my three kidlit groups is: we take turns meeting for dinner at each other's apartments; we meet every six weeks; we read one or two books for discussion; people can attend even if they haven't read the book; we choose books by group enthusiasm. In one group I am somewhat surprised no one has mentioned the delightful Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud: 'The Amulet of Samarkand', 'The Golem's Eye', and 'Ptolemy's Gate. Rowling (including, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, book 1)(try the audio). Not sure why it took so long to get to this one. I read Book 1 in 2011 and Book 2 also in 2011. The Bartimaeus Trilogy: Ptolemy's Gate. I thought that it I noticed the Bartimaeus trilogy. By Jonathan Stroud (501 pp.) This is book 3.
